Congratulations Dragon Band!
The Shelbyville Dragon Military Marching Band competed this past Saturday in the Region 21 UIL Marching Contest. The contest was held at Homer J. Bryce stadium on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. Out of the 10 class 2A bands that competed, only 3 earned a first division rating from the judges. The Dragon Band was one of those bands that earned a first division rating. The Dragon Band, however, was the only band in class 2A to earn a first division rating from all three judges. Only 14 out of 41 bands were able to earn first divisions from all three judges. This is the 7th consecutive year that the Dragon Band has earned a first division at UIL Marching Contest. We are Dragon Proud!
