Dragon Band UIL

On Monday, March 18th , The Shelbyville Dragon Band participated in UIL Concert and Sightreading contest. This contest is comprised of a stage performance as well as a sight reading evaluation. The Shelbyville Dragon received a first division rating from all six judges at the contest. This rating indicates a superior rating and is the highest possible outcome available. Straight ones at Concert and Sightreading along with straight ones back in the Fall at UIL Marching Contest also highlights the band as a Sweepstakes Band for the year, again the highest possible outcome for the entire year. Congratulations to the students, directors and Shelbyville ISD community for this awesome accomplishment. It’s a great day to be a Shelbyville Dragon. Band Director: John Kennon Assistants: Marcia Castenada and John Derr
