I have coached UIL Modern Oratory, Reading, Spelling,History, and Oral reading. I have served as the Junior Chamber of Commerence Representative, Band Booster President,Campus Planning Representative, and coached cheerleading. I substitute taught here at Shelbyville for all grade levels for many years before hired as a classroom teacher. I am entering my 19th year of teaching at Shelbyville ISD.
I am married to my best friend Keith Belrose. We have been married for 38 years. When I’m not teaching, I help my husband manage a cattle ranch named “There’s Something on the Hill Family Ranch”. Our animal friends are cattle, deer, elk, red stag, horses, goats, and dogs. We have three children, Kristi, Justin, and Hanna and three wonderful in-laws, Michael, Bryon, and Jessica. We have also been blessed with seven grandchildren, “Hoot” Mikey, “Turtle” Cace, “Red” Chace,"LIL" Anna Claire,"Monkey" Sadie Mae, “Cozsmo”Westin, and “Littles” Ella Jane. I am truly a blessed person to be called a teacher, a friend, a wife, a mom, and of course...Mawmaw!
God is my Saviour and Jesus is in my heart. I depend on my Lord to direct my every step. I look forward to Heaven when my time on Earth is done. Teaching is my passion in life. It is my dream job. I thrive when my students thrive. I pray when I speak that God uses me to convey the love of God to my students and anyone that crosses my path. I hope to lead by example. Spending time with my family is precious to me. I enjoy photography, coffee, reading, and love to spend time doing outdoor activities.
