Thursday, April 18 – Shelby County Bass Anglers application is due to Ms. Bays by this date.  Applications are available from Ms. Bays.

Thursday, April 18 – Stanley Burgay Memorial Scholarship deadline.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Thursday,April 25 – Shelbyville Lions Club Scholarship application is due by this date.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Friday, April 26 – Shelbyville Athletic Booster Club Scholarship.   Must be in good standing with the athletic department and be a senior.  Must have earned a total of 50 working hours, 10 of which must be during senior year.  See Ms. Bays for an application.  All scholarships are to be turned in to Ms. Bays by 3:00 p.m. on last Friday in April.

Friday, April 26 – Buddy Metcalf Memorial Scholarship is available to seniors that have been a member of FFA, 4-H, Region V High School Rodeo, and/or Pineywoods Youth Rodeo Association for the last 2 years.  Applications must be postmarked no later than this date.

Thursday, April 29 – Daszella Moore Scholarship is due to Ms. Bays by this date.  Applications are available from Ms. Bays.

Thursday, April 29 – East Liberty Educators Scholarship application must be returned by this date to Ms. Bays.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Friday, April 30 – Shelby County Farm Bureau Scholarship application must be received in office by this date.  Must be a son or daughter of a Shelby County Farm Bureau Member to be eligible.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Wednesday, May 1 – Farmers State Bank application is due.  Applications are avialable from Ms. Bays and should be returned to Ms. Bays by this date.

Wednesday, May 1 – Deadline for Audry Owens Memorial Agricultural Scholarship.  Applicant must be active in 4-H, FFA or Rodeo Team AND pursuing a career in an agricultural field.  Applications must be received in office in New Summerfield, Texas by May 1, 2019.

Friday, May 3 – Due Date for Octavaian Burrell #32 Strong Scholarship.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Monday, May 6 – Cathy Fields Memorial Scholarship is due by this date.  Applications are available in Ms. Bays’ office.

Tuesday, May 7 – Bone Hill Foundation Scholarship Application deadline.  Applications are available from Ms. Bays.

Wednesday, May 8 – Cecily Memorial Scholarship application due date.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

Friday, May 10 – Toledo Bend Retired Teachers Association due date.  Must be returned to address indicated by this date.  See Ms. Bays for an application.

 

Wednesday, May 15– Senior Scholarship Day at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 16-Saturday, May 18 – Senior Trip

Friday, May 24 – Graduation Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. in band hall/gymnasium.

Midwestern State University, Mustangs Guarantee Program

  • Covers tuition and mandatory fees for students with family incomes of $50,000 or less.  Must be Texas resident and Pell Grant eligible.
  • Admissions Requirements:

                     Top 10% No minimum on SAT or ACT

               Next 40% 990 SAT, 21 ACT

               3rd Quarter  1070 SAT, 23 ACT

                     4th Quarter  1110 SAT ACT 24

  • Deadline:  May 31st financial aid file must be complete.
  • Must complete 15 credit hours each semester and maintain a 2.5 GPA

 

Sam Houston State University, Bearkat Promise

  • Covers tuition for students with family incomes of $25,000 or less
  • Admission Requirements:

              1st Quarter  850 SAT, 17 ACT

        2nd Quarter  930 SAT; 19 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  1030 SAT, 22 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1140 SAT; 25 ACT

  • Deadline:  March 1, all paperwork submitted for admission.  April 1 to submit and complete all financial aid paperwork.
  • Includes housing for freshmen students.  Renewable for three years.

 

Stephen F. Austin State University, Purple Promise Program

  • Covers tuition and fees for adjusted gross family income of $30,000 or less.  Must be a Texas resident and Pell Grant eligible
  • Admission Requirements:

                    1st Quarter  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  850 SAT; 18 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  1050 SAT, 23 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1250 SAT; 28 ACT

  • Deadline:  June 1, all financial aid paperwork must be completed and submitted.  Must be Pell Grant eligible.
  • Must enroll in at least 15 credit hours each semester.  Maintain a 2.2 GPA or higher.  Must reapply each year.

 

 

 

 

 

Texas A&M University, Aggie Assurance

  • Covers tuition for adjusted gross family income of $60,000 or less.  May also be eligible for aid for fees, books and supplies, and dormitory
  • Admission Requirements:

                    1st Quarter  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  1140 SAT; 25 ACT

                    3rd and 4th Quarter  1270 SAT, 29 ACT

  • Deadline:  June 1, all financial aid paperwork must be completed and submitted.  Must be Pell Grant eligible.
  • Must enroll in at least 15 credit hours each semester.  Maintain a 2.2 GPA or higher.  Must reapply each year.

 

Texas State University, Bobcat Promise

  • Must be an entering freshman and Texas resident with family adjusted gross income of $25,000 or less
  • Admission Requirements:

                    1st Quarter  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  920 SAT; 20 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  1180 SAT, 26 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1270 SAT; 29 ACT

  • Deadline:  March 1, all paperwork submitted for admission.  April 2 submit and complete all financial aid paperwork.
  • Must complete at least 15 credit hours each semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA

 

Texas Tech, Red Raider Guarantee

  • Covers tuition and fees for family incomes of $40,000 or lower
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 10%  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    1stQuarter  1140 SAT; 25 ACT

                    2nd Quarter  1230 SAT, 28 ACT

        3rd and 4th Quarter  1270 SAT; 29 ACT

  • Deadline:  February 1 for admissions.  May 1 deadline for submission of all admissions and financial aid paperwork
  • Must be a first time entering freshman and enroll in at least 12 hours a semester

 

University of Houston, Cougar Promise

  • Covers tuition and fees for family incomes of $40,000 or lower
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 20%  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    21-50% 1000 SAT; 21 ACT

                    Or individual review

  • Deadline:  April 1 postmark for all paperwork for admission.  April 1 deadline for submission of all financial aid paperwork.
  • Must take at least 30 credit hours each school year and maintain a 2.5 GPA

 

University of North Texas, Emerald Eagles Scholars

  • Covers tuition and fees for family incomes of $40,000 or lower
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 10%  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    1st Quarter  950 SAT; 20 ACT

                    2nd Quarter  1050 SAT; 23 ACT

        3rd Quarter  1180 SAT; 26 ACT

        4th Quarter   Individual review

  • Deadline:  March 1, all paperwork submitted for admissions.  March 1, have completed and submitted the FAFSA.
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA and enroll in 15 hours each semester, completing 30 hours each year and work in a campus job 10 hours per week

 

University of Texas at Arlington, Maverick Promise

  • Family income of $65,000 or lower
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 25 %  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  1050 SAT; 22 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  1150 SAT, 25 ACT

                    4th Quarter   Individual review

  • Deadline:  April 1, all paperwork submitted for application and be accepted for admission.  April 1, submit and complete all financial aid paperwork
  • New freshmen students are eligible for up to 5 years if 2.0 GPA is maintained and enroll in a minimum of 6 hours at UTA

 

University of Texas at Dallas, Tuition Promise

  • Family income of $25,000 or lower.  Must be Texas resident and Pell Grant eligible.
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Not available

  • Deadline:  March 31, must be admitted to the university and have all financial aid paperwork submitted.
  • Must complete 30 credit hours each year and maintain a 2.5 GPA.  Eligible for 4 years.

 

University of Texas at El Paso, UTEP Promise

  • Family income of $30,000 or less
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 25%  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  920 SAT; 19 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  970 SAT, 20 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1010 SAT; 21 ACT

  • Deadline:  May 1,  must have submitted application to the university and completed all financial aid paperwork
  • Must complete 30 credit hours each year.  Maintain a 2.0 GPaGPA or higher.  Eligible for 4 years.

 

University of Texas at Sat Antonio

  • Family income if $25,000 or lower
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 25%  No minimum on the SAT or ACT

                    2nd Quarter  960 SAT; 20 ACT

                    3rd and 4th Quarter:  Individual review

  • Deadline:  March 1, postmark for all paperwork for admissions.  March 15 deadline for submission of all financial air paperwork.
  • Must be first time entering freshman and must maintain 2.0 GPA.  Must complete 30 hours each year.  Eligible for 4 years..

 

University of Texas at Tyler, Pathway to Success

  • Family income of $25,000 or lower.  Must be Texas resident and Pell Grant eligible.
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 25%  1410 SAT, 20 ACT

                    2nd Quarter  1500 SAT, 21 ACT

                    3rd Quarter  1530 SAT, 22 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1590 SAT; 23 ACT

  • Deadline:  May 1, complete all financial aid documentation..
  • Must be a first time freshman and complete 30 hours each year.  Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.  Eligible for 4 years.

 

Tarleton State

  • Family adjusted gross income of $30,000 or lower.
  • Admission Requirements:

                    Top 25 %  Provide scores

                    2nd Quarter  Provide scores

                    3rd Quarter  930 SAT; 20 ACT

                    4th Quarter  1030 SAT; 22ACT

  • Deadline:  April 15, all financial aid forms must be completed.  Must be Pell Grant eligible.  Must enroll in at least 15 hours.
