I am a 2006 graduate of Shelbyville High School and a 2021 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University.
My bachelor’s degree is in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Elementary Education. I am certified in Early Childhood through Grade 6 general education and also Grades 7 through 12 English, Language Arts, and Reading.
As an educator, I am a lifelong learner who continually seeks out new information and best practices. This means I attend various professional development activities each year.
I began at Shelbyville ISD in 2020. I currently teach 8th grade English/Language Arts and Reading.
I have been married to my husband, Jonathan, since 2014. We have three daughters. Kaylin attends Shelbyville High School and is very active in extra-curricular events. Kavree attends S.W. Carter Elementary and Karolina hasn’t started school yet. We have one cat and recently brought home a show goat for Kaylin’s FFA project.
When I am not teaching, I really enjoy spending time with my family, riding ATVs, traveling, and sleeping.
